FESTIVAL DE LATINA: LA LISTE S'ETOFFE.
The list of artists continues to grow
Three more numbers of high artistic merit have been added to the list for the twelfth edition of the International Circus Festival "City of Latina": Duo Viro from Hungary, Duo Matador from Israel and Basile Dragon from France.
Duo Viro is an artistic partnership between the two young Hungarian performers, Robert Szabo and Vivien Galovicz, both 22 years of age. After studying at the Hungarian School of Art, Robert and Vivien gained degrees at the Dance Academy of Hungary. They have been performing as a couple since 2005, and together have already been awarded second place at an International Circus Festival. Duo Viro will be presenting an aerial silks number: elegant choreography combined with strong technique set to an evocative and romantic soundtrack.
Matador is the stage name of the Israelian quick-change transformation artists Daniel and Dana Binyamin: this is the first time that Israel has been represented at the International Circus Festival. After studying at the Academy of Dance in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Daniel and Dana completed their training with Degrees in Performing Arts. The rapid changes of costume that characterize this quick-change number are complemented by special effects, comedy and surprises, all set to Latin Rhythms.
The young parisian juggler Basile Dragon trained at the International Circus School in France. His artistic career, begun at the age of 10, has already seen him participate with success at important International Circus Festivals. In the number he is bringing to Latina, Basile Dragon combines dance skills with an awesome juggling technique. Thirty red balls, initially placed on the floor of the ring, take flight as the performer takes charge in this unusual and contemporary juggling act.
