A VÉRONE, FIERACAVALLI. LA FÊTE DU CHEVAL
GOLD GALA “Celebration”
The by-now historic and spectacular event that every year animates the evenings of the Horse Festival in Verona returns in its most traditional guise by resuming the title used for its debut in 1998.
For the 150th anniversary of the Unity of Italy, Fieracavalli presents the first re-staging of the Gold Gala in a very special format: Celebration, directed by Antonio Giarola.
This important occasion will be characterised by the Carabinieri Equestrian Carousel accompanied by the Fanfare, joined by the best Italian and international equestrian artists.
The evenings of 3, 4 and 5 November will see the Ring of Honour at Fieracavalli welcome audiences for the largest equestrian performance ever held in Verona in more than one hundred years of history of this event.
An extraordinary celebration and an unforgettable event that will go down in history: absolutely not to be missed.
A Gold Gala involving more than 300 horses gives a perfect idea of the dimensions of an event that promises to be unforgettable. The celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unity of Italy stimulated the Director to focus attention on Italian equestrian excellence in the field of equestrian performances starting from the 4th Mounted Carabinieri Regiment with the fanfare, the Cavallo & Company and Il Nero Luminoso groups performing coordinated scenes involving precise choreograpy - through to the involvement of 150 AIA riders singing the Italian National Anthem.
Yet as ever, the programme will be enhanced by carousels, by the teams of Gruppo Italiano Attacchi , the Italian Minorcan Equestrian Centre and the butteri-cowboys of Alessandro Ceccherini and Ernesto Benini Galeffi; acrobatics with Andrea Andreuzzi, Andrea Giovannini e Alessandro Conte; acrobatics such as “Roman Riding” by the Feurstein Brothers or the sensational “levade” of Gregory Ancelotti; not to mention the free rein horses of Bartolo Messina and "haute école" in all its declinations with Silvia Resta and Marco De Masi, through to the “saddle gambols” of Fabio Bonazza.
Naturally, many there will be many international guests - especially lady rider Audry Hasta Luego, for the first time in Italy - and for this extraordinary event there will be two dance groups taking part supporting equestrian choreographies with a total of 20 dancers. Gold Gala 2011, into the largest indoor equestrian performance ever held in the history of our Republic.
