The President of the Republic of Udmurtia, Alexander Volkov, has invested Fabio Montico with the title of “Cultural Representative”
The dedication of Fabio Montico, President of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina”, towards worldwide circus culture and arts has been honoured at Izhevsk, Russia.
Fabio Montico, President of the “Giulio Montico” Cultural Association, and Director of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina”, has long been committed towards the promotion of circus culture and arts around the world. Between his numerous journeys around the world and producing the various editions of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina”, Fabio continues to pay particular attention to the intercultural aspects of the circus world, and is always looking to learn and to intermingle differing artistic styles. At the end of his last trip to Russia he was honoured with a special award for his work. In the autonomous Republic of Udmurtia, west of the Ural Mountains, at the fourth edition of the International Circus Festival of Izhevsk, the President of the Republic of Udmurtia, Alexander Volkov, personally awarded the title of “Cultural Representative” to Fabio Montico, along with the relative insignia. This personal honour has incentivized Fabio to renew and redouble his efforts in all his ongoing projects. The Republic of Udmurtia is famous for being the birthplace of Tchaikovsky, the Russian composer famous for his ballet scores for “Swan Lake”, “The Sleeping Beauty” and “The Nutcracker Suite”. The capital of Udmurtia is also the home of the famous Kalashnikov Museum, where these famous firearms, produced over the last 200 years in that same city, are on display. Alexander Volkov, President of the Republic of Udmurtia, has already shown his appreciation for the work undertaken over the years by the “Giulio Montico” Cultural Association by his presence, along with that of Dmitry Ivanov, Minister of Culture, at the last edition of the International Circus Festival “City of Latina”, which took place on October 14th - 18th 2010.
